by Patrick Melbourne

MIDHURST - It was a win for the Barrie Baycats in a big way over the Kitchener Panthers on Thursday night at Vintage Throne Stadium - the team hit four home runs and got a great pitching performance in a 15-2 win.

The offense had its best night of the season overall for Barrie - every hitter in the starting lineup reached base on the evening. The crowd at Vintage Throne Stadium was on their feet for four home runs throughout the game; Owen Jansen hit his second of the season, new Baycats right fielder Juan Familia hit his first with the team, and Branfy Infante hit two - including a grand slam in the seventh inning.

Infante drove in five runs overall on the evening, and had three hits total.

Juan Benítez (3-2) was excellent for the Baycats in this one, pitching six strong innings and giving up only two runs. Brandon Hillier and Max Lojko combined for three scoreless innings of relief. Christian Hauck (2-2) got the loss.
