02/17/2020: BAYCATS HIT HOME RUN ON FAMILY DAY:

Hosting their sixth annual Family Day at the Barrie Community Sports Complex, the City of Barrie welcomed Barrie Baycats general and field manager Josh Matlow, bench coach Andrew White, pitching coach Brad Grieveson, reliever Cole White, first basemen Ryan Rijo, and outfielder Branfy Infante to the event, all of whom took part in a meet and greet with our loyal fans.

03/24/2020: BAYCATS "STAY AT HOME" CHALLENGE

SPRING 2020: BAYCATS STEP UP TO THE PLATE FOR RVH

The Baycats -- in partnership with the Royal Victoria Hospital -- took part in an online auction to raise funds for our frontline workers during the COVID-19 Pandemic. People bid for the chance to have hitting lessons with three-time IBL champion Ryan Rijo and pitching lessons with pitching coach Brad Grieveson. 2021 Season Tickets and 2021 Season Flex Packs were also bid on.


spring of 2020: LIBRARY READING WITH BARRIE LIBRARY

First basemen Ryan Rijo, outfielder James Anderson, and In-Game Host Ryan Rijo read their favourite childhood books on behalf of the Barrie Public Library during the peak of the pandemic -- physical-distancing style!

07/29/2020: baycats sell "not cancelled" by volunteer catherine kenwell:

The Barrie Baycats Baseball Club is excited to announce that we will be selling "Not Cancelled" -- a book recently co-authored by Baycats volunteer Catherine Kenwell -- on our online shop as a fundraiser with Barrie Native Friendship Centre.

08/05/2020: Baycats Support "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes" Fundraiser:

Manager Josh Matlow, bench coach Andrew White, pitching coach Brad Grieveson, first base coach Steven Szoldra, first basemen Ryan Rijo, and outfielder Branfy Infante took part in a photoshoot in support of the fundraiser by wearing red high heels.

09/18/20: COOL CAT HELPS TIM HORTONS SELL SMILE COOKIES

Cool Cat went over to Tim Hortons at 533 Bayfield Street near the stadium to help support the current smile cookie campaign that donated 100% of all funds collected from cookies to over 550 Canadian charities. Cool Cat worked the drive-through, convincing customers ordering with his cool smooth ways to help support and buy a cookie.

FALL OF 2020: "FOR THE LOVE OF THE GAME FUNDRAISER"

"For the Love of the Game" is a fundraising campaign to gather used baseball equipment to bring to the Dominican Republic.
