Hired in January 2020 as the Baycats' general manager and field manager, the Innisfil, Ontario native is no stranger to the organization, having played for the team from 2005-2009. He was also hired as the team's President in December 2021.

Hired in January 2020 as the Baycats' general manager and field manager, the Innisfil, Ontario native is no stranger to the organization, having played for the team from 2005-2009. He was also hired as the team's President in December 2021.

A father of two, Matlow played college baseball at Canisius College in Buffalo, New York and was the Baycats' starting left fielder when they won their first championship in franchise history in 2005.

Andrew White joined the Barrie Baycats in January 2020 as Bench Coach and Third Base Coach. He previously played for the team in 2005 and 2006.

Brad Grieveson

Brad Grieveson

Pitching Coach

Hired in January 2020, Grieveson is one of the more decorated relievers in franchise history. During the 2021 season, Grieveson returned as a player/coach, pitching in games both from the rotation and from the bullpen for the Baycats. His player card can be found here.

Hired in January 2020, Grieveson is one of the more decorated relievers in franchise history. During the 2021 season, Grieveson returned as a player/coach, pitching in games both from the rotation and from the bullpen for the Baycats. His player card can be found here. 

The Barrie, Ontario native played for the Baycats from 2002-2005 and recorded a lifetime earned-run-average of 1.74 -- a club record -- during that timeframe. A father of three, the one-time Intercounty Baseball League champion still pitches in the Northern Dufferin Baseball League where he recorded a 6-1 record with 64/7 K/BB ratio in 47.0 innings pitched in 2019. He has won the NDBL Pitcher of the Year award in 11 of his first 13 seasons in the league.

Athletic Trainer

Katerina Xindaris is a Certified Athletic Therapist who first became interested in Athletic Therapy after shadowing with the Baycats during the 2014-2016 seasons. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from York University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Health Science, and a Certificate in Athletic Therapy.

Katerina Xindaris is a Certified Athletic Therapist who first became interested in Athletic Therapy after shadowing with the Baycats during the 2014-2016 seasons. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from York University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Health Science, and a Certificate in Athletic Therapy. 

She has experience working with varsity soccer and hockey teams, was the Head Athletic Therapist for the OWHA Central York Panthers Junior hockey team, and has interned with the Toronto Argonauts Football Team training camp. Katerina has been working for Sports Medicine for the last 2 years at the Springwater location, and is excited to be back with the Baycats this season. In her spare time, Katerina enjoys baking and curling up with a good book.

Rick has spent 34 years developing and growing an integrated multi-dimensional health care company. He founded Sports Medicine in 1990, an innovative multidisciplinary rehabilitation company with 5 locations and over 65 Healthcare professionals. As the Director of Mind to Muscle, a strength and conditioning training centre located in Barrie, he oversees the programming for athletes that are striving to reach their maximum performance potential. In addition to these ventures, he is the CEO of Trainers Choice, a manufacturer and international award-winning distributor of sports medicine and active lifestyle products sold into the pharmacy mass retail market.

Currently, Rick is the Chair of the Massage Therapy Professional Advisory Committee at Georgian College, and served on the Sheridan College Athletic Therapy Professional Advisory Committee for 12 years.

As the Medical Director, he will oversee player safety, performance and player rehabilitation as provided through the training and medical staff of the Baycats.

Joe Breedon

City of Barrie Parks Manager

Breedon is the Outdoor Recreation Facility Coordinator for the City of Barrie. The winner of the Sports Turf Manager of the Year in 2018, Breedon has been instrumental in turning sure-rainouts into playable games for many seasons now. The Barrie, Ontario native has been involved with the Baycats since 2005, the year the Baycats won their first championship in franchise history.
