Baycats Support "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes" Fundraiser

by Ryan Eakin

BARRIE - The Barrie Baycats Baseball Club is proud to support the "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes" fundraising campaign.

Manager Josh Matlow, bench coach Andrew White, pitching coach Brad Grieveson, first base coach Steven Szoldra, first basemen Ryan Rijo, and outfielder Branfy Infante took part in a photoshoot in support of the fundraiser by wearing red high heels.

The "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes" fundraiser is a campaign put together by Women's and Children's Centre Barrie, who provide safe refuge and emergency support services for abused women and their children.

The campaign -- which ends on September 30th -- is in lead up to the 11th annual "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes" event on Saturday, September 12th.
