Baycats Sign Pair of Players Following Saturday's Open Tryout

BARRIE - The Barrie Baycats Baseball Club announced today that we have signed outfielders James Anderson and Adrian Guttierez for the 2020 season.

Anderson, 27, is a graduate of Harding University. 

The Barrie, Ontario native played in 96 games for the Bisons with a career on-base percentage of .337.

Guttierez, 24, meanwhile, played for the Ivy Maple Leafs of the North Dufferin Baseball League and led the league in home runs twice, playing against the likes of current pitching coach Brad Grieveson and former Baycat Chris England.

The pair of players took part in our open tryout this past Saturday in Barrie.
