BARRIE - The Barrie Baycats Baseball Club announced today that outfielder Kenny Di Clemente has been signed for the 2020 Intercounty Baseball League season.

Di Clemente, 19, was in his freshman season at Crowder College before their season was shut down due to COVID-19.

Through his first 15 games at Crowder, Di Clemente recorded a batting average of .357, an on-base percentage of .534 and a slugging percentage of .429 while stealing five bases.

The 5'10", 175 lbs Oakville, Ontario native and his school were ranked tenth in the country among junior colleges before their season came to a sudden end.

Baycats general and field manager Josh Matlow said he is excited to add Di Clemente's versatility and speed to the Baycats' roster.

"Kenny is a great addition to our organization. He’s a five-tool player and the exact type of player we are looking to help build our future. We are excited to see his growth over the years and feel he can be an important piece to our puzzle in the outfield.”
