BAYCATS SIGN 1B/OF NOLAN MACHIBRODA

BARRIE – The Barrie Baycats have signed first baseman and outfielder Nolan Machibroda for the 2024 season. Machibroda is from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and was signed by the Minnesota Twins in 2022.

Nolan's pro opportunity came after he batted .460 in 2022 with the Cumberland Bulldogs of the NAIA. He also connected for 17 home runs and 83 RBI in 47 games. The 24-year-old adds yet another dangerous bat to this Baycats lineup.

“Nolan is the big middle-of-the-order impactful first basemen we were looking for,” said Baycats General Manager Josh Matlow. “He not only fills in the roster nicely but fits the culture. We are thrilled to have Nolan join us this summer and believe the fans will enjoy watching him too!”

The home opener for the Barrie Baycats is May 16th against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The first pitch is set for 7:35 p.m. at Vintage Throne Stadium. Get your tickets HERE!
