MIDHURST, March 25th, 2022 - The home of the Barrie Baycats has a new name and sponsor.

The Vintage Throne Stadium sponsorship was officially unveiled on Thursday afternoon at the park, with a ceremony highlighted with a brand-new stadium sign. The sign was installed directly above the field entrance at the Barrie Community Sports Complex.

The new partnership is with local business Vintage Throne Barber Lounge. “Vintage Throne is very proud to be entering this new era in partnership with the Barrie Baycats Baseball Club.” stated Baycats President Josh Matlow.

“Aligning with the Baycats Franchise was a very natural connection for us,” said Sabrina Di Tommaso of Vintage Throne Barber Lounge. “What started out as a simple approach for sponsorship quickly became an intriguing way to contribute to our wonderful community, who feel like friends and family."

Di Tommaso continued, “We want nothing more than to support every athlete on that field. They do well and sponsorship helps to fuel and celebrate that. We are so excited and grateful for this collaboration and opportunity. Go Baycats!”

Redefining Gentleman in the Heart of Barrie, Vintage Throne Barber Lounge is a local business located at 474 Big Bay Point Rd.

“We couldn’t imagine a better fit than Vintage Throne Barber Lounge in Barrie,” said Matlow shortly after the new sign was unveiled. “Not only are they great people, but they are local and their willingness to be a leader in our communities fit our model perfectly.

“We look forward to many great years ahead of us and are grateful for the support of Daniel, Sabrina, their staff and families from Vintage Throne moving forward. It’s the perfect relationship.”

Barrie Baycats Board Chair Chris Gariepy also stated that this is a great fit for the Baycats organization.  “We embrace our new partnership with the Vintage Throne Barber Lounge and look forward to the future and the great things we can do together.”

An upcoming bonus episode of "Baycats Banter: The Official Podcast of the Barrie Baycats" will focus on the new partnership between Vintage Throne Barber Lounge and the Barrie Baycats.
