Barrie Baycats Sign Jeifry Nunez For 2023 Season
The Barrie Baycats have signed starting pitcher Jeifry Nunez for the upcoming 2023 Intercounty Baseball League season.
Nunez, 24, joins the Baycats after spending the 2022 season with the Guelph Royals. Nunez was a member of the Texas Rangers organization from 2015 to 2019, pitching to a 3.06 ERA with low-A Spokane in 2019.
"It's so important to have a strong rotation," said Baycats TV analyst Patrick Melbourne. "Nunez brings great Minor League Baseball experience, knows what it's like to pitch in big moments, and can be a great starter for the Baycats."
