Barrie Baycats Sign Infielder Brendan Colley

BARRIE, February 14th, 2022 - The Barrie Baycats have announced a new signing for 2022.

Infielder Brendan Colley will join the Baycats for the upcoming season. Colley, playing for the University of Toronto Varsity Blues in 2021, was named an All-Star Third Baseman after a championship winning season for the team. 

In the team's semifinal against Western, Colley was the star on offense - his two hits and two RBI helped the Varsity Blues win 8-4. In the Finals, Colley reached base twice in the team's 6-2 win over McMaster. Colley finished the 2021 season with the Varsity Blues with a .304 batting average.

Colley has also played for the Toronto Mets of the Canadian Premier Baseball League.
