Swing into Summer Safety

The Fire Marshal’s Public Fire Safety Council announced that they were again partnering with the Toronto Blue Jays and the Ontario Association of Fire Chiefs to bring fire safety to the forefront in the summer of 2012, especially for children.  Last year over 200 fire departments participated in the "Swing into Summer Safety" Campaign and this year the Blue Jays relief pitcher Jason Frasor is the campaign spokesperson.

Every fire department across the province was invited to participate in this exciting initiative.

The Barrie Baycats baseball club joined with the Barrie Fire Services in "Swing into Summer Safety at the Dunlop St. Fire Hall and entertained a kindergarten class from the City to help make them aware of various fire safety procedures.  Baycat player cards were provided to the enthusiastic children and Cool Cat was on board to greet the kids.
