LOOK WHO IS BEHIND "COOL CAT"
Ever wonder who endures 90 degree heat inmid July inside a 30 pound head and full costume?
Ever wonder how one endures being pushed, punched and pulled by the tail donning 50 pounds of fur?
His name is Chris Price who has weathered heat and rain for the last 3 years. Chris is a graduate of St. Joseph's high school in Barrie and is enrolled at Lakehead University where is studying for a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education degree. Chris has lived in the village of Minesing his entire life, minutes from Barrie Metals Stadium. Prior to becoming our mascot, Chris has volunteered since the Baycats' first season looking after the Junior Baycats program as well as other duties.
Chris is an outgoing devoted young man who loves to interact with the children (and adults) making their time at the ballpark enjoyable. Chris also performs the mascot duties outside of the stadium making corporate appearances, birthday parties and recently raced against other mascots at Georgian Downs Raceway. The Baycat organization is very lucky to have Chris on our 'Team'.
As you can no doubt attest, this Baycat volunteer is full of fun and enthusiasm and loves to perform for the Junior Baycat fans. Say hello to Chris behind those dark glasses!
The Baycat organization also salutes Corby Adams and the folks at Remax Reality for their on-going sponsorship of our "Cool Cat."
